LEAGUE DETAILS:

WHEN:           EVERY SUNDAY 7PM (Final Double KO Tourney Jan 5th 10am)

LOCATION:   2 INDEPENDENT LEAGUES - PORTLAND ST. & ROCKINGHAM

FORMAT:        ROUND ROBIN (Play one player per week)

GAME:            8-Ball (WPA Rules) - see exceptions below

RACES:           600+ Fargo - Race to 11

                        525-599 Fargo - Race to 9 (2 game spot in a race to 11)

                        Sub-525 - Race to 7 (4 game spot in a race to 11)

NOTE: Fargo ratings are locked at the time you sign up and will                              not change your races for the duration of the season!

CONTACT:     Percy Gouchie (Portland) or Jay Hanlon (Rockingham)

COST:             $25 per week ($5 table time)

FINAL TOURNAMENT:   Top 8 in points after the round robin will advance to a Double KO Tournament held on Friday, Jan 3rd at 7pm and continuing Sunday, Jan. 5th 10am.

DEPOSIT:       Within the first month of the league, players will be asked to deposit $100 to hold their spot in the league.  This $100 will come off your final 4 weeks of league play (those weeks will not cost you anything).  This money is non-refundable so if you quit the league late in the season, that money will still go to the final prize pot.  This will stop players in the bottom of the standings from quitting the league, or at least if they do quit, it won't affect the payouts.

MISSING A WEEK:  If you miss a week, it is your responsibility to make up the match with your opponent.  Find another date to schedule with your opponent and you'll be given 1 month to makeup that match ***Unless you made arrangements prior to the start of season to be away!***.  After a month if you haven't been able to reschedule, you will receive a zero for that match and your opponent will score an 11.  Players are asked to work with each other to make sure all matches get played.  Dooly's will still honor the $5 table time for these makeup matches.  Also, if any matches are missed within the final month of the league, there will be a final "makeup" night on Dec. 22nd for any matches still outstanding.  Players can report their makeup match scores to Percy as soon as they're played.

FORFEITS:  For the fairness of the league all matches should be played in full unless circumstances deem it impossible to play a match.  In a situation where a match can not be played or rescheduled for any reason the player that misses the match will have to forfeit and take a zero.  The opponent scores an 11.  Even if the player is a lower ranked player and would normally get their spotted games at a minimum, a forfeit results in a zero regardless of handicaps.

NO SHOWS: If you don't notify your opponent or the tournament directors before your scheduled match and your opponent is left waiting, this will be deemed a no show and you will be given a score of 4, your opponent scores 11 and gets the win.  Please make every effort to show up or contact the league within a reasonable time so your opponent doesn't travel to Dooly's!

TIES:  Ties in points will be broken by the head-to-head results.  If there is still a tie (3 or more players still tied), ties will then be broken by wins then by differential between wins and losses.

8-BALL RULES:

  • Rack your own, Alternate Breaks (magic racks allowed)

  • Flip or Lag for break

  • Fowl on the break = cue ball behind head string

  • Illegal Break = opponents chooses to re-rack and break or allow their opponent to re-break or play the table as it stands. 4 object balls must hit one or more rails to be considered a legal break.

  • Jump Shots Allowed

  • No clothing fouls unless a ball moves and an arbitrator must be called to watch the shot beforehand.

Ties: will be broken by Head-to-head results first (meaning if both players in a pairing beat the other 2 players when they played their matches, they win the tie breaker).  If still tied, next it will go by total match wins, and if still tied after that, by differential between combined wins and losses
